EC4WDA Rules Changes

 

2008 RULE CHANGES

pg. 25 #8 Change $200 to $300

pg. 17 add letter "q"- Roll cage padding is required where the helmet may come into contact with the cage.

pg. 10 #14 Change to- All drivers must wear shoes that are defined as footwear that cannot slip off the feet.

pg. 17 letter "o"*Will be in effect 2009* change to- all vehicles will have a diagonal bar from the top of the cage above the occupant(s) head, to the opposite side of the cage at the frame mount.

pg. 17 letter "m" *Will be in effect 2009* change to- all vehicles must have a dash bar in the front hoop for drivers safety. Center seat vehicles are exempt.

pg. 8 #4a *Will be in effect 2009* Change to- All drivers must wear approved fire retardant suits SFI 3-2A/1 rated. Recommended: Nomex underwear also be worn.

 

Here are the rules changes for 2006:

1.  Page 10,  # 15.  Arm restraints or nets on all vehicles, except Street stock.

2.  Page 20 #11b, Remove co driver restrictions.

3.   Page 44, #20.  Vehicles can be inspected by rules people at their option by lottery (such as class winner, fuel, weight, etc).

4.  Page 8, #4     Fire suits are required for D class and up only.  Remove any classes lower.

5.  Page 8, #3.  Include nitrous as well. Must wear Head sock, socks, gloves and fire suit.

6.  Page 53 #4  If running NHRA style race, must run by runs.

7.  Page 53 #9 Clubs must give reasonable time for drivers to get  ready if there is a track groom, or disruption to the race.

8.  Page 43 #19 – Cubic in check, if you are found legal you will get $75.00 not $300.

 

Here are the rules changes for 2005:

Page 8 (4a): Fire suits are now also required for C & D in 2005 and E & F in 2006

Page 10-17: Side nets & arm restraints must be reconnected immediately if they come loose, before proceeding with the race.

Page 20-21: If you are an obstacle driver, you can’t co-drive with another driver during their obstacle run. It has been a rule in Michigan, but wasn’t for EC4WDA.

Page 26: Engine factor points have changed

Page 31, F: Fly cut stock pistons: valve relief only

Page 29, J: Nitrous - 1 thru 4 only now, eliminated the last line from the old rules

Page 31, D: Regarding aftermarket pistons

Page 42-9: Teardown procedures

Page 50: Gasoline

Page 14-20: All vehicles require a DOT approved tail light or a 3x3 size, and it must work.

        Page 25-28: Driver is fined $300, now vs. $200 if they come in under weight
